We are excited to announce our First Book of The Month Discussion is scheduled for 24 April 2021 (Saturday), 8:00 pm, via Facebook Room. This event will be hosted/led by our dearest Ms. Elaine Marifosque and co-lead by Chie De Dios.
If you want to participate in our book discussion, join our group Porch Reader Book Tambayan. We are excited to hear all your opinions and thoughts about George Orwell’s 1984. This book became our front-runner when we started casting votes in our book group at Porch Readers.
Trivia: Did you know that Orwell initially named the novel 1980 and then 1982 before settling on 1984? Since it was written in 1948, some think that Orwell devised the title by inverting the year the book was written. Additionally, he thought about naming the novel The Last Man in Europe.
